Cam has moved upstairs now (to my room), and she'll stay here until the end of my time here! We're much alike, her and me! We go to bed around the same time, and we both know that we need some space for ourselves.
Woke up at half past 6 with stomach pains. This time they lasted for 3 hours and it didn't matter that I took 3 painkillers (naproxen, the strongest one in the pharmacy in Sweden). Nothing helped. Around half past 9 the pains finally ceased and I fell asleep again, and slept until 12. The rest of the day, I just went around in my slippers, watched series and ate chocolate. I really had a lazy day! But tomorrow will be different, I'm going into town to buy some stuff, send a mystery package to Sweden, and maybe book a train ticket to London for Sunday!
Summary of the week. Well, it's been the same as any other week really, nothing special to report. I went to a sushi restaurant on Monday, tried to get rid of my cold on Wednesday and the German girls left early early on Thursday morning. The German girls were... nice... but a bit strange. I couldn't imagine spending any more time with them than that, our personal chemistry didn't really match so to speak.
9 weeks left. Seems so strange. But at the same time, I'm really looking forward to going back. Seeing my friends, doing simple things with them like having tea, or watching a movie.
And my holiday home, I really miss my holiday home. This is the longest I've been away from there and I truly feel like it's a piece of my heart missing. I need the kind of re-charging I can only get from the High Coast... Buhu :/
Well well, only nine weeks to go!

New roommates
So, I have two new roommates, but just for 4 nights! Both from Germany and can you believe it, from Cologne! 45 min from where my grandmother lives :O They seem nice, both are 23 (so they're mature) and I think that my room is going to be pretty warm tonight, with three warm bodies, laptops and the heating! That's good though because I think I've caught a cold...
Look what I got from Mark, because it's kind of an inconvenience for me with two other students in my room.

10 weeks left and CAE
It's exactly 10 weeks left today. And, in "celebration" of that, I've officially started studying for my CAE test! Yay!! Since I'm leaving before 12/6, I'll have to take the test in Umeå. No rest for the wicked, for me it'll be, get home on the 11, sleep, have the test at 8.30 in the morning and then see my friends again! Unfortunately I wont get to see Nina and Carolina graduate :( Stupid CAE, why did they place it on the same day as they graduate?!
In case anyone forgets what I look like, here's a treat hehe. See, it's still me, same crazy hair and dad's old shirt...
My room is currently quite a mess, and for once it's not my fault!! Sio's leaving on Monday so she's trying to make all her clothes fit in her (3!!) suitcases. When she leaves I'll have two new roommates but only for 3 nights, and after that (finaly) Cam will move upstairs and become my roommate!

10 weeks
Tomorrow I only have 10 weeks left. It feels so strange, I will be able to count them on my hands. Time's going sooooo fast and I've already learnt so much, the language, about their lifestyle and about myself. When I came here I felt like I kind of knew myself, but I was pretty insecure about what I knew. After 12 weeks here I feel more okay with who I am. For example; I'm not a party girl, and I might never be. And that's okay. I'm not going to change to make other people happy.
And also, this book I found the other day has taught me so much. It's called Quiet and is about how some people are Extroverts (outgoing, enjoys themselves the the most in a large group and are good at thinking on their feet) and some are Introverts (soft spoken, enjoys solitude, prefers a small dinner with a few friends instead of a large party with a lot of people). Not so hard to guess which one I am right?
Susan Cain, the author, also says that it's not black and white, a person can enjoy both group activities and solitude (for example), but that we tend to lean more towards one or the other (on the scale Introvert-Extrovert).
The world today tries to produce as many extroverts as it can, because that's the ideal right now. There's nothing wrong with extroverts but we need some variety!
So that's a few of the things that has made this trip an amazing journey! And I still have 10 weeks (and one day) left. I wonder what will happen next!

And I'm back!
Yes yes, once again in Brighton UK! I arrived late last night and fortunately Stephanie hadn't gone to sleep! We said goodbye and she left early this morning, first home to Switzerland and then she's off to Malta (and the heat).
Cam will be home tonight and then we'll have a glass of wine and talk about what we've done on our trips! And off course, turn of the lights! It's earth hour tonight, 20.30, don't forget!
And tomorrow we're going to...wait for it... LONDON! :D
Okay, that's it.
Over and turn of the lights.

My last days in Germany
I've been here for five days now, and this will be my last. It's been great and a part of me don't want to go back. It's easy to get used to having my own room, cooking my own food and having lazy evenings with tea infront the tv. I've cooked with grandma, taken a few walks (not so many, I've been lazy), gone shopping, eating abendessen, helping grandma with her computer and installing their new printer.
Since it's my last whole day today, me and grandma are going to Neuvied and this castle we went past in the car yesterday. AND WE'RE HAVING SALMON FOR LUNCH! :D I'm sooo happy!

Arrived in Germany
This day didn't start so well... I woke up at 4.30 and the taxi picked me up around 5. It rained and I had to wait for the coach outside (20 min in the cold, not the best way to start a journée). Anyway, I was really happy when the coach arrived but then my next trouble started. For the first time in my life, I became sick on the bus! Damn travel sickness!
Well well, I came to Heathrow around 10 and ran around for an hour before I found my flight, but at least I didn't miss it!
So now I'm at my grandmother's, in "my own" bed (at least it's my bed when I'm here). We had pumpkin soup for lunch (MUMS!) and then Abendessen (still don't know how to spell it...).
Now I'm going down to cuddle up next to Simon (my grandma's slightly overweight cat, adorable!) and grandma' to watch some german TV ^^
Over and out.
